FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions about the digital control cabinet documentation

Anyone who scans the cirQit QR code – with or without registration! By default, every control cabinet documentation has at least read permissions.

Yes. The control cabinet documentation must first be opened in the network area; the data is then stored in the mobile device's cache. This ensures the app's functionality even in areas without network access.
Alternatively: Devices that were previously displayed in cirQit are stored in the browser cache and can be edited offline. As soon as an internet connection is re-established, changes are automatically synchronized with the cirQit Cloud.
For offline operation, it is recommended to install the cirQit app on a smartphone or tablet.

cirQit uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a hosting platform for data and applications. The location is Frankfurt (Germany). There, all data and the application are redundantly stored across three data centers. An additional instance on AWS Switzerland is possible if required.

No. The app must be operated in an AWS environment.

Every company has its own solution. We provide the QR code as a PNG file for download. Some companies print it on labels with a laser printer, others have stickers produced and use thermal transfer printing. We would be happy to advise you on the various options.

Not yet – however, this feature is on our to-do list.

Yes. cirQit offers an OpenAPI interface. The corresponding documentation can be requested from cirQit.

Yes. Several scenarios exist; in all cases, the data remains online and administrable for the guaranteed 20 years.

All users registered as administrators in the control cabinet documentation will be notified by email and can extend the documentation for a fee if required. If not extended, the documentation remains readable and reactivatable for several more years. Even after online deactivation, it can still be restored.

Public control cabinet documentation is public: Any user with a cirQit account who is logged in and scans a Public QR code receives administrator rights to the respective control cabinet documentation.
In Private control cabinet documentation, however, individual user rights and roles can be assigned for single users or entire groups.

Yes. In Private control cabinet documentation, differentiated rights assignment for individual documents is possible.

No. A control cabinet documentation always contains exactly one schematic, which can be edited and uploaded as a PDF.
However, any number of additional documents can be added – such as manuals, bills of materials, test reports, certificates, etc. The file format does not matter.
